The Alan Bown Set were an English group favoured by the remaining Manchester Mods in 1966 and appeared as a live band at the Twisted Wheel Manchester.




One Member, born in Batley Yorkshire (1949) was Robert Palmer. Emergency was quite a popular track at the time, heavily played at the Wheel where everyone would shout out the 999 chorus like a football crowd!
