Two recordings of Bob Dylan's were played often at the early days of the Brazennose Street Twisted Wheel in Manchester
when duffle coats and combat jackets were the fashion accessories to be seen in. The club goers divided into two groups,
those who booed and those who cheered. Eventually the booers won.
Bob Dylan tracks played at the Twisted Wheel Brazennose Street:
THE TIMES THEY ARE A CHANGIN'
SUBTERRANIAN HOMESICK BLUES
also a few LP tracks.
Dylan was heavily influenced by the blues (including
Jesse Fuller the one man blues band). Other
influences were Woody Guthrie and Lead Belly. Eventually he influenced everyone
else, probably some soul songwriters too.
