Brill Building

The Brill Building,  1960 - 1650 Broadway, New York -  was the office location for many soul songwriters.

Ellie Greenwich wrote a massive number of soul classics there. Phil Spector worked there too composing hits for the Crystals Ronnettes Ike and Tina Turner The Righteous Brothers and many others.

Gerry Goffin and Carol King also had offices but
Lieber Stoller were the originators and started their own label - Red Bird right here.



The Brill building became the centre for song writers and music publishers.
