Hammond Organ

Notable among Hammond Organ great players, are Jimmy Smith and Jimmy McGriff and  Georgie Fame One of our favourite exponents has to be Booker T Jones.

To appreciate the subtleties of this great instrument measn that the Hammond organ has to be heard live.
Bands that we saw that used the organ as their major focus in theTwisted Wheel in the 1960's included Georgie Fame, Brian Auger and Graham Bond.



The Hammond is heard on many soul tracks, blues, RnB, Gospel and Jazz, rock, pop and so on.
