Huey 'Piano' Smith and his clowns: ROCKIN PNEUMONIA and the boogie woogie flu. This was an instrumental that was extremely popular at the Twisted Wheel. We got our copies on the 'Sue' label.




A singer and a great pianist Huey 'Piano' Smith was big in the 1950's in New Orleans; recording with 'Guitar Slim' and singing with Earl King. His group The Clowns at one time included Bobby Marchan.


1958 'Don't You Just Know It' was his biggest chart hit in 58 reaching the USA RnB top ten.
He was a big influence on Dr John.
