In 1972 Johnny Nash had great success with – “I Can See Clearly Now”. Johnny Nash was from Houston, Texas another church choir singer who made it in the non secular world of pop and R & B (although there was a strong reggae influence at the heart of Johnny's music).
1965 "Let's Move and Groove Together" (USA/R&B Chart no. Five) and it was a massive hit in Jamaica and whilst following up its success on tour there he made "Hold Me Tight" at Byron Lee's Federal Studios.
In the 70’s he did a series of covers of Sam Cooke recordings, then faded out of the music scene.
