The purists may frown at the inclusion of Rod the Mod
in this database
but he is here for a number of
good reasons.
He appeared frequently at the Twisted
Wheel Brazennose Street, often with Long
John Baldry, in various groups including the Steam
Packet.
He has covered many soul records and his Those Old Motown Records is a tribute to all the Motown soul songs he idolised.
He can sing a soulful tune and his song and Those Old Motown
Records shows where his heart is at.
As a Scottish football supporter he wished he had
been born in Scotland but he wasn't he was born in London on the 10th
of January 1945.
Rod followed the Mod fashions and in the spring of 1965 he
was there wearing an ice blue denim jacket with a massive (Dr Who Tom Baker)
style college/university scarf wrapped around his neck and almost reaching the
floor.
