Rufus Thomas - Mr Memphis Music.  The longest serving DJ in the world and the man who invented the The Dog but before that he did the Bad Cat at SUN and recorded a version of Hound Dog. However Lieber & Stoller sued Sam Phillips of Sun Records and Rufus left soon after!

He went to Satellite records (which eventually became Stax) and did a duet Cause I Love You with his daughter Carla in 1959.
