Q: What was so special about the Blue Note
Club?
A: Many people had been going to the Twisted Wheel for years - from the
early Brazennose Street days to the later Whitworth Street era. We
needed a change, somewhere we could have a drink as well as listen to
really good soul music. The Blue Note was quirky, had a different
atmosphere and DJs who were not afraid of trying new things.
