Amy Winehouse

Amy Winehouse although possibly more famous for her drug habit and unfortunate young death in 2011 aged just 27, was an excellent singer and brought back Soul & Jazz to the world to generations who never knew what they were mising.

Amy Winehouse could very well be credited to paving the way for the likes of Adele and Duffy, especially in their international success after she was so well recieved in teh US.

She was well known for her appearance fo having a beehive hairdo and cleopatra eye makeup, a style she was rarely seen without.

Musically she is best known for her album Back to Black featuring memorable tracks like "Rehab",  "Back to Black", and "Tears dry on their own" which samples from Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrells "Ain't No Mountain High enough" from the 60s.
